We are seeking a full-time QA Automation Programmer/Developer to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise for the METS/SMRT DevOps team. The resource will design, develop, modernize, and maintain enterprise QA automation frameworks and regression suites supporting statewide healthcare eligibility systems and related DHS/ISDS initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, maintain, and modernize scalable, reusable automation frameworks.
Provide technical leadership for automation architecture, framework design, coding standards, and best practices.
Develop and maintain functional, integration, API, and regression automation.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps initiatives.
Evaluate and improve existing frameworks for reliability, maintainability, scalability, and efficiency.
Develop SQL queries and database validation for automated testing and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with developers, BAs, DevOps engineers, architects, and QA teams.
Mentor automation engineers through code reviews, coaching, and knowledge transfer.
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and technical design discussions.
Research and recommend automation tools and framework improvements.
Document automation processes, procedures, architecture, and maintenance activities.
7+ years designing, developing, and executing automated test solutions for enterprise applications.
5+ years developing automation frameworks using Java and Selenium or comparable technologies.
5+ years designing, developing, or significantly enhancing automation frameworks using object-oriented design and reusable architecture.
3+ years integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins.
5+ years writing SQL queries and performing database validation for automated testing.
Desired Qualifications
Automation Architect, Principal QA Automation Engineer, Framework Lead, or Senior Automation Consultant experience.
Experience modernizing legacy automation frameworks.
Experience with IBM ETM, IBM Quality Manager (QM), or IBM CLM, or comparable test management tools.
Experience automating web applications, REST APIs, and database testing.
Performance testing experience.
Agile/Scrum DevOps experience.
Experience supporting healthcare, human services, government, or regulated enterprise environments.
Strong technical communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.
