Job Summary

The Metal Fabricator repairs and fabricates a variety of processing equipment and components utilized in our aggregate and ready-mix plants.

Compensation

Hourly $46.30

Responsibilities

  • Uses a wide variety of skills to maintain or repair equipment used to process aggregates, including conveyors, screen decks, cone crushers, feeders and pumps
  • Fabricates and assembles structural metal products, such as frameworks or shells for machinery, ovens, tanks, stacks and metal parts for buildings and bridges
  • Ensures a safe work environment, following company’s policies and procedures

Education

High school diploma/GED

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS certification, lathes, milling machines and other related equipment
  • Able to read plans and blueprints
  • Experience with shears, benders and other metal works equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to work and weld in a variety of settings including at heights, in tight spaces and awkward positions
  • 5 years’ experience as a certified welder preferred

Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
