Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2270 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Two years within the last three years minimum of inpatient Med/Surg experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Community hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population. - Fast-paced inpatient Med/Surg unit caring for general care patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. - Common medical cases include COPD, heart failure, HTN, DM, ETOH, infection, mental status changes, and falls. - Floor drips include insulin, heparin, and PCA. - Procedures and cases include bariatric weight loss procedures; orthopedic surgeries including hip, knee, and shoulder joints; neuro spine; appendectomy; cholecystectomy; hernia; and endocrine cases. - Uses CPM, wound VAC, lifts, and polar cares.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weekend and holiday rotations based on operational need.

Floating Requirements: - Floating required to other units or downtown.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
