Position Overview

Suncrest Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to enhance our exceptional outpatient services at our facility located at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with leading licensed Physical Therapists in delivering comprehensive therapeutic care. Work Environment

The position is located onsite at a state-of-the-art hospital setting that is well-equipped with advanced therapeutic equipment and resources. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement prescribed physical therapy programs, closely following the directives of licensed Physical Therapists to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, assisting with functional mobility training and rehabilitation activities.
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient responses and progress accurately, modifying treatment plans as necessary while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
  • Educate patients on exercises, injury prevention, and proper techniques to enhance recovery and maintain health beyond therapy sessions.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/cold therapy as part of the treatment protocol.
  • Maintain timely and accurate documentation of interventions, progress notes, and treatment plans using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Work collaboratively with the rehabilitation team to enhance integrated care approaches and ensure smooth transitions for patients.

Qualifications

  • Valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in Nevada is required.
