BodySync PT is excited to announce an opening for a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dedicated outpatient orthopedic team located in New Rochelle, New York. Work Environment

The role of PTA at BodySync PT is primarily onsite in a state-of-the-art hospital facility. This setting allows for direct collaboration with physicians, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals, fostering an integrative approach to patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration while providing consistent support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administering direct patient care as per the prescribed treatment plans from referring physicians or state-authorized practitioners.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation that adheres to departmental policies and procedures, ensuring all patient records are up to date.
  • Logging progress notes and creating detailed discharge summaries for each patient you work with, thus keeping the trajectory of care seamless.
  • Following established emergency procedures to safeguard patient welfare during treatment.
  • Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives through chart reviews and related activities to enhance care quality.
  • Engaging in family meetings and patient conferences to discuss ongoing treatment and management of assigned cases, fostering a collaborative approach with families.
  • Performing all other related duties as assigned and required, with an emphasis on maintaining compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • Hold an active PTA license in the state of New York.
  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate field or demonstrate an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrate current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant in New York, along with any specialized certifications as required.
  • Have 2 years of relevant experience in a similar setting.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will also have:

  • Hands-on proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and rehabilitation methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong patient-centered focus.
