Full job description

A growing organization supporting federally funded construction projects is seeking a Section 3 Compliance Coordinator to oversee workforce compliance, labor standards, and employment opportunity initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with HUD Section 3 requirements and workforce participation goals.
  • Track labor hours, worker eligibility, hiring efforts, and contractor documentation.
  • Prepare monthly and final compliance reports and support audits.
  • Coordinate workforce development with trade schools, apprenticeship programs, and community organizations.
  • Monitor Equal Employment Opportunity, affirmative action, and nondiscrimination requirements.
  • Review certified payrolls, wage classifications, and prevailing wage compliance.
  • Support contractor and subcontractor compliance with federal labor standards.
  • Maintain workforce registries and coordinate with public agencies, contractors, and community partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Construction Management, HR, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 3+ years of experience in HUD programs, compliance, workforce development, or construction administration.
  • Knowledge of HUD Section 3, Davis-Bacon, and Equal Employment Opportunity requirements.
  • Strong reporting, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with public housing, federally funded construction, or apprenticeship programs preferred.
