Full job description
A Snapshot of Your Day
This is a 3x12 night shift position focused on the repair and restoration of combustion components for the power generation industry. In this role, you will perform manual GTAW welding on superalloy materials, including Inconel and Hastelloy, while utilizing fitting, layout, and coldworking techniques to meet engineered specifications. Daily responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, restoring component surfaces, and safely handling materials using cranes and forklifts. Success in this role requires flexibility, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing production priorities.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Perform manual GTAW welding, layout, fitting, and restoration work on combustion components to engineered specifications.
- Cold work and form superalloy components, including Inconel and Hastelloy, to meet dimensional and tolerance requirements.
- Use hand tools, grinders, burrs, and other equipment to repair and recondition component surfaces.
- Interpret detailed drawings, sketches, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications to determine required repair and welding operations.
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including jib cranes, bridge cranes, and forklifts, to move and position components.
- Maintain flexibility in supporting urgent production priorities while consistently meeting daily quality and productivity expectations.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-3 years of industrial welding, assembly, fabrication, or related manufacturing experience, or equivalent formal technical training.
- Ability to pass welding qualification testing, including Inconel GMAW 6G Butt Joint Open Root certification to ISO standards.
- Experience with fitting, layout, and coldworking materials to engineered requirements, along with the ability to use basic shop math and precision measuring equipment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a fork truck and crane license, achieve a Career Readiness/WorkKeys Silver Certificate, pass required hearing, vision, and pulmonary function testing, and safely lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
