Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2100 per week.

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is required. Required clinical skills include MS/Tele, telemetry, cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, on-unit telemetry monitoring, use of rapid response/code teams, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, heparin protocols, management of cardiac drips without titration, PCA, CVA, total joint replacements, surgical drains, Emerson/PleurEvac chest tubes, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, oxygen administration, tracheostomy care/management, isolation precautions, and wound care/wound vac.

Required Credentials: You must have a MO license and be in the process of applying for a KS license (+vice-versa) or you must have a compact licensure to apply.

Special Requests: Saint Luke’s is a Nicotine free (this includes patches, gum, vape, etc.) Health System – all travelers will be tested upon hire. If found with nicotine in your system, you will be canceled and may be ineligible for re-hire. If requesting 7 days of RTO, the expectation is that the missed time is made up. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. The unit serves a general intermediate population, including sepsis/infection, wounds, CHF, cardiac arrhythmias, AMI, CVA/TIA, altered mental status, ETOH withdrawal, SI, general postoperative, orthopedic, urology procedure, and GI bleed cases.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend requirement: 4-6 shifts every 6 weeks. No more than 7 days of RTO. No call.

Floating Requirements: Floats within the service line and to sister facilities as needed.
