Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
• Experience with Cerner is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
• 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: - Will accept a traveler with 1-year experience only if it is interventional Cath Lab experience, not just diagnostic Cath Lab. - Required experience: STEMI/NSTEMI, LHC/RHC, CHF, angina, ACS, Afib, IABP/Impella, CTOs, staged/protected PCI, pericardiocentesis, temp pacers. - Groin site management; techs will usually pull sheaths, but RNs might and need to be comfortable with site management; radial band management (VascBand); moderate sedation; titrating drips; knowledge of emergency drugs; efficient use of defib/pacer; recognizing rhythm changes; knowing when and what anticoagulant to administer. - Vent experience is not required, but must be comfortable addressing vent alarms and identifying whether an alarm is critical or an error alarm that does not need to be addressed.
Special Requests: - You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit and shift at the same facility). If you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit and facility. - Cannot guarantee block scheduling on the front end.
Unit Details: - Lead available to use if traveler does not have their own. - EP cases include pacemakers, MICRA, lead extractions/revisions, generator changes, and ablations. Vascular cases include peripheral cases and carotids. PE cases include Inari and EKOS. Hybrid/structural cases include Watchman, TAVR, and PFOs. - Patients not coming from the ICU will go to the CVR area after the case. - Uses XPER (Phillips system), IntellaSpace, Plum 360, Omnicell, Medtronic ACT machine, Rotapro, CSI, shockwave, laser, Rotablator, FFR, and IVUS.
Shift & Scheduling: - Can have 1-3 shifts of orientation, depending on traveler comfort, and must be comfortable by the following Monday. - On call every 4th weekend, Friday EOS until Monday at 0630. - Weekdays: 1 call night per week, with possibly 1 late shift per week as well. - Weekday call is EOS until 0630 the following morning. - Late shift will stay until the cases are done but will not be on call after that; late shift and call shift will not be worked concurrently. - 4-person call team: 2 RNs and 2 techs. - Will not be on call prior to your day off. - 30-minute response time. - One major and one minor seasonal holiday per contract. - Schedule cycle: 3-6 weeks.
Floating Requirements: - Possibility of floating to IR or Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR), but prior experience with that is not required.
10 days maximum time off.
