Full job description
Northside Hospital is seeking experienced PRN Palliative Care Physicians to join our PRN pool and provide flexible coverage across our nationally recognized health system. This 1099 Independent Contractor opportunity offers the ability to support palliative care services at any of our five hospital campuses while working alongside highly collaborative multidisciplinary teams dedicated to compassionate, patient-centered care.
This position is ideal for physicians seeking schedule flexibility while practicing within one of Georgia's largest and most respected healthcare systems.
Position Highlights1099 Independent Contractor (PRN)
Flexible scheduling based on system needs and physician availability
- Shift Schedules are Mon-Fri - 8am-5pm
Provide inpatient palliative care coverage across Northside Hospital's five campuses:
Atlanta
Forsyth
Gwinnett
Cherokee
Duluth
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, case management, social work, chaplaincy, and other interdisciplinary team members
Deliver high-quality symptom management, serious illness communication, advance care planning, and goals-of-care discussions
Opportunity to practice within a growing, physician-led health system recognized for clinical excellence
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Completion of an accredited Palliative Care Fellowship
Board Certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
Internal Medicine residency training preferred
Active Georgia medical license or the ability to obtain one
DEA certification (or ability to obtain)
Excellent communication skills and commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
