Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol in Portland, ME, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees, customers, and visitors. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of banking areas, access points, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of individuals entering and leaving the location.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and other security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
