About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our design team and take real ownership of structural analysis and design on major projects. You will work closely with a Structural Lead, other engineers, and designers to develop design concepts, run the analysis, and get structural requirements into the design documents and model.
This is a role with room to grow. Depending on your experience and drive, you may serve as Lead Structural Engineer on medium projects or Sub Lead on larger ones. You will be given as much responsibility as you are willing to take.
What You Will Do
* Independently perform structural analysis and design, including lateral analysis for wind and seismic loads
* Apply sound engineering judgment when selecting and adapting techniques, procedures, and criteria
* Own your portion of the structural scope from start to finish, meeting schedule, budget, and quality requirements
* Check your own work carefully and perform calculation checks on other engineers' work
* Define your scope, forecast your level of effort, and flag scope changes to your Structural Lead or Project Manager
* Mentor designers, drafters, and less experienced engineers
* Help advance the tools, workflows, and technology used within the structural discipline
What You Need
* Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis
* Professional Engineer license (PE or PEng)
* 10+ years of structural engineering experience
* Strong command of US building codes: IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC, including seismic provisions
* Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures
* Proficiency with structural analysis software, Navisworks, and Bluebeam
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Reliable home internet sufficient for remote project work
Nice to Have
* MS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or Structural Engineering
* Structural Engineer (SE) license
* Experience with semiconductor or general industrial facilities
* Experience leading medium-sized teams
