Job Description
As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Guard Card in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this role, you will support people first through teamwork, reliability, and integrity while responding with agility and professionalism in a dynamic environment.
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour
Job Schedule:
The exact schedule for this role has not been determined. That is common for this type of position and may depend on pre-hire steps that take time which could include the onboarding and training processes. If hired, your manager will work with you to determine your schedule based on business needs and your availability.
What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and security-related activities appropriate to a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify supervisors, law enforcement, and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces while verifying credentials, observing site activity, and documenting security-related incidents and/or policy violations.
- Prepare clear reports on patrol findings, incidents, and daily activities, and support emergency response actions in alignment with post orders and client-directed procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge and/or an associate degree and/or 60 college credits and/or a police academy certificate and/or a corrections academy certificate.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
