A well-established healthcare organization is seeking a Regional Director of Environmental Services to oversee operations across multiple locations in the Albany, NY region.

This leadership role will be responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and sanitary environments across assigned facilities while providing guidance, support, and oversight to environmental services teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee environmental services operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities in the region

• Provide leadership and supervision to environmental services and custodial staff

• Develop and implement cleaning protocols that comply with OSHA regulations, healthcare standards, and organizational policies

• Work with facility leadership to ensure adequate staffing and coverage for environmental services needs

• Provide training, mentorship, and performance feedback to environmental services team members

• Conduct routine facility inspections to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards are consistently maintained

• Monitor supply inventory and coordinate ordering of cleaning materials, equipment, and supplies

• Work collaboratively with administrators, nursing leadership, and other departments to address environmental service needs

• Identify opportunities to improve environmental services operations, efficiency, and quality across assigned facilities

• Ensure consistent implementation of best practices and organizational standards across the region

• Stay current on industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to healthcare environmental services

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience in environmental services, housekeeping, facilities services, or a related field, preferably in a healthcare or skilled nursing environment

• Experience overseeing staff across multiple locations or facilities is strongly preferred

• Strong understanding of commercial cleaning practices and OSHA regulations

• Hands-on experience with floor care processes, including stripping, waxing, and buffing

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license required to travel between assigned facilities.

• Knowledge of healthcare environmental services protocols and regulatory requirements strongly preferred
