Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physical therapists in executing individualized treatment plans for patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions.
  • Facilitate therapy sessions by guiding patients through their prescribed exercises and therapeutic movements, ensuring they perform activities safely and effectively.
  • Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting developments in their rehabilitation journey and relaying vital feedback to supervising therapists to adjust treatment as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs, injury prevention techniques, and recovery strategies, empowering them in their healing process.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of treatment areas and therapy equipment, ensuring all tools are properly sanitized and ready for use.
  • Comply with all relevant state and federal regulations as well as organizational policies regarding patient confidentiality and health information management.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized Physical Therapist Assistant program.
