Coordinates assigned cardiovascular structural program(s) in its entirety by working closely with interventional cardiologists, non-invasive cardiologists and cardiac surgeons as well as other members of the health care team. In conjunction with medical and hospital leadership is responsible for creating policies and patient care pathways, follows standards of care and communicates with clinical/nursing staff working with the same cohort of patients. Responsible for monitoring volume, quality, care pathway compliance and reporting at appropriate venues. Supports the appropriate growth of programs and services by coordinating and supporting the development of protocols, clinical workflows, and education and research efforts of the team.

Position Details:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

  • Licensure/Certifications: Current state RN licensure or eligible for licensure in applicable state

  • Experience: 3 years providing care to patients within the cardiology department

  • Preferred Experience: 2 years demonstrated experience managing quality programs recommended

  • Other: Ability to think logically and sequentially, understand redesign concept, and identify opportunities for improvement. Ability to coordinate care of the patient across the care continuum. Ability to develop standards, training and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds regularly.

  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.

  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
