Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Must be a High School Graduate
2) Must have completed 12 units in Early Childhood Education or in a program to achieve this
3) The ability to work cooperatively with, and take direction from, other adults
4) Must be able to understand and support the program's philosophy
5) Must pass Dept. Of Social Services clearance checks
6) Be CPR and First Aid certified

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following but not limited to:
1) Help implement program activities under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher.
2) Coordinates small group activities like arts and crafts, cooking etc.
3) Supervise napping children without the supervision of the classroom teacher.
4) Help ensure that a healthy environment is evident at all times and in accordance with all State
requirements.
5) Playground supervision with appropriate child to teacher ratios during various weather conditions
6) Assists with distribution and clean up of lunches and snacks
7) Assists with children during restroom breaks & accidents
8) Assists with set-up of classroom daily
9) Assists with classroom behavior
10) Assists with injuries and filling out necessary paperwork
11) Demonstrates professionalism and contributes to a positive work environment
12) Assists with parent pick-up and drop off and extended day activities
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Primarily an office/classroom position. May require significant degree of intermittent walking, bending,
stooping, reaching and stretching for long periods of time. May require lifting of up to 40 lbs.
