Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health and no current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - University of Wisconsin Health.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Tracheostomy and surgical experience required. Gynecology, urology, plastic, and colorectal experience required (at least 2 of 4 of these required).

Preferred Skills/Experience: Flap management preferred. Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Unit Details: Adult patient population. Cares for patients across gynecology, urology, plastics, and ENT specialties. Provides experience with free flap monitoring for breast reconstruction after mastectomy, urinary diversion surgeries, new tracheostomies, and airway management. Patient population includes gynecology oncology; urology patients with neobladder, ileal conduit with urostomy, and Indiana pouch; plastics patients with gender-affirming surgeries and free flap reconstruction; and ENT patients with new tracheostomies. Provides patient and family education following urinary diversion surgeries to support care at home. Frequent flap monitoring with ENT and plastics patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Eve/Night, 12-hr shifts, 1900 - 0730, Sunday - Saturday, weekends based on unit needs, some holiday shifts available.

Floating Requirements: May float to other med/surg units.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
