WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (Job Overview):
When you join our team, you will provide support to the collections operation by acquiring, distributing and maintaining supplies and equipment used in the day-to-day blood collections operation. You’ll be responsible for the daily loading, transportation, and delivery of supplies using a large box truck. This position requires travel to multiple locations, including Modesto, Turlock, Stockton, San Jose, and San Francisco.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
- Manage and maintain blood collection equipment and supplies, including collection kits, labels, shipping boxes, and donor canteen items. Assemble blood collection kits according to established procedures and quality standards.
- Prepare, load, transport, and organize supplies and equipment for blood drives and collection activities. Safely load and unload materials from pallets, shelves, racks, and vehicles using proper material-handling practices.
- Operate blood collection vehicles, as needed, to deliver, pick up, load, and unload equipment and supplies at collection sites.
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally, positively, and proactively with donors, team members, volunteers, and other internal and external customers.
Standard Schedule:
- This is a Temporary Position
- 4 x 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday; variable hours
- To best meet the needs of our donors and community, staff work a variable schedule which may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance
Pay Information:
- Starting rate $25.00/hour.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (Minimum Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of one-year related experience preferred.
- Customer service experience and strong verbal & written communication skills are required.
- A current, valid driver's license with a good driving record is required. DOT certification may be required in some locations. If required, must pass applicable DOT physical and related requirements and be able to possess or obtain a medical certification of at least one-year duration.
- Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. Must be able to lift or move up to 75 pounds of weight; reach, bend, kneel, climb, push and pull; work in tight spaces. Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools and work with a variety of chemicals and solvents. May include sitting for long periods of time, driving a vehicle, and working under challenging conditions.
- Basic computer skills are required. Must be proficient with Microsoft office applications.
