Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in the industrial sector, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - 1st Shift to join their team. As a Manufacturing Engineer - 1st Shift, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting production and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - 1st Shift

Location: GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan

Pay Range:$57.75

What's the Job?

  • Lead the introduction of new products into the manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth integration and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to optimize labor and material costs, increasing productivity and profitability.
  • Provide technical support across manufacturing areas to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions, minimizing production disruptions.
  • Identify, reduce, and eliminate ergonomic risks in the workplace to promote a safe and healthy environment for all team members.
  • Lead strategic projects related to process, product, or corporate change initiatives, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.

What's Needed?

  • Possession of a 4-year technical degree or equivalent education in a related field.
  • Strong analysis skills with knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Excellent facilitation and negotiation skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven project management and leadership abilities to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel and Access, to support data analysis and reporting.
