Process Technician

<p style="text-align:center">You deserve a job you love!</p> <p><b>Volt is immediately hiring for a Process Technician in Richardson, Texas.</b></p> <p><b>Process Technician, you will:</b></p> <ul> <li>Set up, program, and operate SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, SPI, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems</li> <li>Verify and optimize machine setups for production runs and NPI (New Product Introduction) builds</li> <li>Monitor yield performance, SPC trends, and in-process quality metrics, including FPV and IPI</li> <li>Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and perform root cause analysis to improve performance</li> <li>Maintain, calibrate, and support preventive maintenance activities on SMT equipment</li> <li>Develop and optimize reflow profiles and maintain critical process parameters</li> <li>Inspect solder joints and assembly quality to ensure compliance with IPC standards</li> <li>Collect and analyze process data and maintain accurate documentation and work instructions</li> <li>Support line efficiency initiatives, cycle time reduction efforts, and continuous improvement projects</li> <li>Train and support operators while providing real-time production floor support</li> <li>Collaborate with engineering teams on product dispositions, process improvements, and implementation of process changes</li> </ul> <p>This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.</p> <p><b>The ideal candidate will have:</b></p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required</li> <li>Associate degree in Electronics, Manufacturing, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent work experience</li> <li>Minimum of 2 years of SMT or electronics manufacturing experience</li> <li>Hands-on experience with SMT equipment, including printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, and AOI systems</li> <li>Knowledge of SMT manufacturing processes, including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow soldering, and inspection</li> <li>Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, and production teams</li> <li>Ability to analyze process data and support continuous improvement initiatives</li> </ul> <p><b>Preferred experience includes:</b></p> <ul> <li>PCB assembly and/or semiconductor manufacturing environments</li> <li>Familiarity with IPC standards, including IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001</li> <li>Experience supporting NPI and high-mix manufacturing operations</li> <li>Knowledge of SPC methodologies and process control techniques</li> </ul> <p><b>Work Environment:</b></p> <ul> <li>Factory manufacturing environment requiring cleanroom attire and protective equipment</li> <li>Bending, twisting, lifting up to 25 pounds, and standing for extended periods of time are required</li> <li>Hands-on work with SMT production equipment and manufacturing processes</li> <li>Fast-paced environment supporting production and engineering activities</li> </ul> <p><b>Salary:</b> 43K - 58K</p> <p><i>Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.</i></p> <p><b>Benefits:</b> Since this is a Direct Hire opportunity, all benefits will be provided by the client.</p> <p><b>Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!</b> Please hit APPLY to provide the required information, and we will be back in touch as soon as possible.</p> <p><b>Volt is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits any kind of unlawful discrimination and harassment.</b> Volt is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment on the basis of race, color, religion or belief, national origin, citizenship, social or ethnic origin, sex, age, physical or mental disability, veteran status, marital status, domestic partner status, sexual orientation, or any other status protected by the statutes, rules, and regulations in the locations where it operates.
