Description This is a combined posting for CT Technologist and Senior CT Technologist. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. The CT Technologist, under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. The CT Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in special procedures for a radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards. The CT Technologist will also perform tasks and duties as outlined in the Radiology Department's Policy and Procedures Manual; will assist in assigned administrative tasks and will maintain clinical competencies through participation in educational and orientation programs. He/she will also participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the outlined department The Senior CT Technologist, under the direction of a radiologist, performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring minimal supervision. The Senior CT Technologist will provide services timely and efficiently, at appropriate levels to all patients and in all settings served by the department. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation in special procedures for a radiologic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent, while providing radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards. CT Technologist Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Upon hire: Montana Radiologic Technologist. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Within 1 year of hire National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography. Or Within 1 year of hire National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board. Preferred qualifications: 1 year general radiology experience. Senior CT Technologist Required Qualifications: Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement. Upon hire: Montana Radiologic Technologist. Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
