Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time DoD Secret Clearance Patrol in HERNDON, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will contribute to a caring, team-oriented culture by remaining agile, reliable, and innovative while acting with integrity in support of daily operations.

Pay Rate: $24.37 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors at an aerospace and defense billing operations location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for individuals entering restricted office, records, and administrative areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, reporting observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility interior, exterior, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and visitor or access records in accordance with site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
