As a Design Quality Assurance Manager, you'll contribute to meaningful projects that shape the future of aerospace.
This position contributes to our vision by:
• Guarantee that appropriate efforts and measures are in place to achieve the engineering department goals in terms of external and internal quality (S, Q, C, D, P, I), internal and external customers focal point for quality matters:
o Ensure that internal and external requirements (customers, regulations, applicable standards) are taken into account
o Ensure proper performance monitoring and review as well as actions taken when necessary to achieve the results
o Assess development maturity in preparation for reviews and milestones
o Report alerts, risk and opportunities to the development team and assist on its management and treatment
o Stop any action that could have an unacceptable impact on the quality of a product or service
o Help teams implement best practices and conduct resource validation and qualification (test benches, prototypes, test facilities)
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements and systems and propose improvements:
o Ensure that developments comply with applicable standards and regulations at all phases of each project
o Develop Quality awareness and train engineering staff in quality and APQP related best practices and tools
o Help improve processes and monitor their implementation
o Ensure that the necessary authorizations/accreditations are in place and properly managed
• Track, evaluate and report process control status and quality reports. Address customer complaints regarding quality issues, validate analysis and action plans to resolve problems. Ensure such action plans are implemented
• Lead the APQP methodology in development, ensure it is properly deployed and assured in all product developments. Ensure proper coordination with all departments for the proper APQP deployment

Candidate skills & requirements

• Required - Science or Engineering Bachelor degree or 6 years of related design quality experience in lieu of the degree
• Required - 5+ years of experience in aerospace industry (preferred) or equivalent, preferably in Design Quality, 3+ years in management
• Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO19011, AS9100, AS9145, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001
• APQP Tools knowledge and domain, PDCA, DMAIC and other related tools knowledge
• Configuration and data management
• Experience in internal and external audit and audit techniques
• English proficient. Spanish and French are a plus
