As a
Machinist in Training with PCB Piezotronics, Inc., you will learn the duties and skills necessary to review drawings and/or written instructions to operate manual or CNC machinery and equipment to produce precision parts under direct supervision.
Additional Duties: - Training to work in a work center and performs specific machinist functions.
- Under direct supervision, verifying conformance of finished work to ensure compliance to tolerance and company specification.
- Training to identify dull and worn inserts or tools
- Learning the basic preventive maintenance of machines.
- Training to perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments.
- Performs other related duties as directed
Minimum Qualifications:Education - High school graduate; or
- GED; or
- BOCES Machine Shop classes; or
- Skilled trade school graduate
Experience - Basic Shop math skills
- Basic Blue print reading skills
- Basic mechanical ability
Preferred Qualifications - Problem solving skills
- Experience in order of operations
