Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2180 per week.

Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• Diploma completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - MultiCare Health System.

Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility. - Must request block scheduling; not guaranteed.

Unit Details - Neonates to geriatrics. - Will mainly work in all critical areas: ICUs, EDs, PCUs, NICU (but will not be primary RT). - Bubble CPAP in NICU as a secondary RT, with directions from the primary RT. - Patient assignments are by point system. - ABGs: draw and analyze, BiPAP, CPAP, Ventilator/Trach Management, knowledgeable about various respiratory therapies and equipment. - Uses GEM blood gas machine, Pyxis, Medtronic 980 ventilators, Draeger ventilators, LTV ventilators, and Servo NIV.

Shift & Scheduling - Orientation is 3 x 12h days, 1:1 with Lead RT. - Filled in where RTs are needed on the schedule. - Must be available to work 7 days a week. - No self-scheduling. - Weekend rotation: every other weekend. - Open to schedule requests. - Need to request from manager if wanting to work 6 days in a row. - 2 weeks’ notice; schedules are 6 weeks at a time. - Time off: up to 5 days. - No call. - Holiday Expectations: at least one holiday.

Floating Requirements - Expected to float through all ICU/ER/PCU. - NICU if there is a surge, as a secondary RT. - Inpatient rehab unit - rare.

Certifications:

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
