Are you ready to take your accounting career to the next level? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting + Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 0-4 years of experience in the field who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and month-end close procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to assist with financial reporting and analysis are crucial for this role. This position requires 5+ years of experience.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in our Accounting + Finance team. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Managing both the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
2. Assisting with the month-end close process, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
3. Utilizing your proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards.
4. Assisting with financial reporting and analysis, including budget vs. actual analysis, trend analysis, and forecasts.
5. Ensuring compliance with all internal controls and established policies and procedures.
6. Collaborating with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues and improve processes.
Qualifications:
The qualifications for the Permanent Staff Accountant position include:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 0-4 years of experience in an accounting role, with a focus on AP, AR, and month-end close.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create pivot tables, use advanced formulas, and develop financial reports.
4. Experience assisting with financial reporting and analysis.
5. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
7. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
