Now Hiring! CDL Flush Truck Operator in Charlotte, NC

A Flush Truck Operator (or Sewer Cleaner Operator) is responsible for driving and operating specialized high-pressure water trucks to clean, maintain, and inspect sewer lines, storm drains, and underground utilities. This role involves heavy equipment operation, pipe cleaning using jetting technology, and supporting rehabilitation crews.

Pay: $28+/hr (Pay is competitive and based on experience level)

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Operate Equipment: Safely operate jet/flush trucks, high-pressure water blasters, and vacuum equipment to clean pipes, manholes, and catch basins.
  • Pipeline Maintenance: Clean and clear sewer blockages, debris, and sludge from wastewater collection systems.
  • Maintenance & Inspection: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking fluid levels, hoses, and filters.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety standards, including OSHA regulations, PPE usage, and confined space entry procedures.
  • Support Crews: Assist CCTV inspection crews and sewer rehabilitation teams on active job sites.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, work orders, and safety documentation

Minimal requirements include:

  • License: Valid license.
  • Experience: Previous experience in sewer cleaning, vacuum truck operation, or heavy truck driving (usually 6 months to 2+ years).
  • Skills: Ability to work with high-pressure water systems and understand underground utility work.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs), work outdoors in varied weather conditions, and work in confined spaces
  • must have Class A or Class B w/tanker

Benefits are available to full-time employees (30 or more hours per week).
