Position Highlights:
Nebraska Medicine is now taking applications for a talented, passionate, and energetic individual to join us as a Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Retail Pharmacy team.
Nebraska Medicine offers a unique pharmacy work experience that provides opportunities for pharmacy technicians that cannot be found in a traditional pharmacy setting including Meds to Beds, pharmacy automation, non-sterile compounding and caring for complex patients. Responsibilities of pharmacy technicians at the DOC Pharmacy include providing a positive patient experience, delivering medications to discharging patients and dispensing prescriptions to traditional patients seen in our clinics. The candidate selected for this position will work at our Nebraska Medicine retail pharmacy locations: the Durham Outpatient Center, the Lauritzen Outpatient Center, Village Pointe Health Center and the Bellevue Medical Center along with Nebraska Medicine's HUB Pharmacy.

Shift:
First Shift / Full Time (1.0 FTE) / Benefits Eligible
Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour shifts varied between 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
One weekend (Saturday & Sunday from 8am - 4:30pm) every 6th week
One holiday from 8am - 4:30pm per year
Primary Location: Durham Outpatient Center

Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Description:
Prepares and dispenses medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers and processes all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age required.
Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training required.
High school education or equivalent required.
Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator required.
Registered as a pharmacy technician with the State of Nebraska Board of Pharmacy required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment, and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare preferred.
College coursework in pharmacy preferred.
Ability to type 20 wpm (with error correction) preferred.
Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred.
