About the Position

Our client is seeking Class B Delivery Drivers for a local, home-daily opportunity in Springfield. Drivers will deliver produce, dairy, cheese, and dry grocery products to retail locations and other customer sites. This role offers consistent weekday work, an estimated weekly gross of $1,100, and the potential for temp-to-perm employment.

Pay & Schedule

• $24.50 per hour
• Estimated weekly gross of $1,100
• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 40 hours per week
• Start times vary between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
• Daily shifts are approximately 8.5 to 9 hours
• Local routes with home-daily returns
• Temp-to-perm employment opportunity

Job Details

• Route type: Local
• Freight: Produce, dairy, cheese, and dry grocery products
• Delivery locations: Retail locations, schools, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, and other customer sites
• Stops: Up to 12 or more stops per day
• Equipment: Automatic transmission International and Freightliner 18-foot and 26-foot refrigerated straight trucks
• Handling: Heavy-touch deliveries using two-wheelers and pallet jacks; some deliveries require cooler placement, while others involve dropping full pallets

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate refrigerated straight trucks on local delivery routes.
• Deliver grocery and perishable products to customer locations.
• Complete up to 12 or more delivery stops per day.
• Unload products using two-wheelers and pallet jacks.
• Place products in coolers or deliver full pallets according to customer requirements.
• Provide professional and dependable service at each delivery location.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL
• 1+ year of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 21 years old
