Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and motivated individual to join our Warehouse team. This position is responsible for supporting daily toolroom operations by maintaining control of tools, equipment, and materials while ensuring they are properly managed, accounted for, and readily available to support production and operational needs.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Issue and receive tools, equipment, and materials to and from employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool assignments, returns, and inventory transactions.
  • Keep the toolroom clean, organized, secure, and operating efficiently.
  • Receive, inspect, label, and properly store tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitor tools for damage, excessive wear, missing components, and repair requirements.
  • Assist with tool inventory management, cycle counts, and periodic audits.
  • Track tools and equipment sent for repair, maintenance, or calibration and maintain accurate status records.
  • Utilize computers, barcode scanners, tablets, and inventory management systems to record and manage tool transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with employees and supervisors regarding tool availability, overdue returns, inventory shortages, and equipment issues.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining accountability for company-owned assets.
  • Support material control activities and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives.
  • Perform additional toolroom, inventory, and material control responsibilities as assigned.
  • Basic to intermediate computer proficiency is required.
  • Must be comfortable using computers, tablets, barcode scanners, printers, and other electronic devices.
  • Ability to accurately enter, update, and maintain electronic records with strong attention to detail.
  • Basic typing and data-entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook, is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use inventory management systems, electronic forms, databases, and company software applications.
  • Capable of searching for inventory items, processing transactions, generating reports, maintaining records, and communicating through email.
  • Strong attention to detail to minimize data-entry errors and maintain inventory accuracy.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
  • Previous experience in a toolroom, warehouse, inventory control, material handling, manufacturing, or related environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and remain productive with minimal supervision.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Willingness to learn new processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain a sense of urgency based on operational requirements.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and handle tools, materials, and equipment as required.
