Work Environment

Working at Fortis Motion LLC, you’ll be part of a fast-paced hospital outpatient setting that fosters collaboration and innovation. Our clinic is well-equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies, such as therapeutic modalities, exercise equipment, and specialized rehabilitation software. The team-oriented culture encourages independent thinking while providing ample support for professional growth. We operate from Monday to Friday, offering a predictable schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver skilled, evidence-based physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT), ensuring adherence to established protocols and safety standards.
• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans designed to enhance the physical capabilities and overall well-being of our patients, focusing on improving mobility and reducing pain.
• Monitor patient progress closely, documenting changes and adapting treatment sessions based on real-time feedback to maximize effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the supervising PT and other healthcare professionals to revise treatment strategies and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, therapy techniques, and home care strategies that promote self-management and bolster treatment gains.
• Foster a motivating and encouraging atmosphere that promotes trust, accountability, and genuine support for each patient’s recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your extensive knowledge and experience will allow you to work with a varied patient population, including post-operative orthopedic patients, athletes recovering from sports injuries, and individuals with neurological conditions. Each patient presents a unique set of challenges, and your approach will be instrumental in helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Completion of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of a current California PTA license or evidence that you are in the process of obtaining one.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence and initiative when required.
• Adaptability and performance under a fast-paced, demanding environment.
• Current CPR certification (or the willingness to acquire certification prior to the start date).

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in an outpatient setting.
• Experience working with a range of conditions, including orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly those used in therapy settings.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
