Full job description
Wellstar is seeking a Breast Sonographer to join our patient-centered imaging team. In this PRN role, you will perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations and assist with interventional procedures to support early detection and treatment. Responsibilities include obtaining detailed patient histories, positioning patients, operating advanced ultrasound equipment, and producing clear, diagnostic images for radiologist interpretation. You’ll ensure accurate documentation in PACS/EMR, uphold strict safety and infection-prevention standards, and provide compassionate education and emotional support to patients. Working collaboratively with radiologists, nurses, and technologists, you’ll contribute to a culture focused on quality, integrity, and continuous learning across our integrated healthcare system.
