Full job description
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern supports the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to enhance quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity. This role provides hands-on experience working with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, troubleshoot production challenges, and support operational excellence initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating manufacturing processes, workflows, and equipment to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
- Collect, analyze, and report production data to support process optimization, capacity planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to implement and sustain process enhancements.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis activities related to production issues, equipment performance, and product quality concerns.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including work instructions, process flows, standard operating procedures, and project reports.
Qualifications
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related technical field. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills required. Experience with Microsoft Excel, CAD software, data analysis tools, and Lean Manufacturing principles is preferred.
