Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator with a strong background in residential electrical projects. This role is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and collaborating with project managers, electricians, and clients to ensure competitive and profitable bids. The ideal candidate understands residential construction methods, electrical codes, and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Review residential construction plans, specifications, and bid documents to prepare accurate electrical estimates.
  • Perform material takeoffs, labor calculations, and cost analysis for new construction, renovations, and service upgrades.
  • Develop detailed and competitive proposals and bid packages.
  • Coordinate with project managers, electricians, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify scope.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency.
  • Maintain a database of material pricing, labor rates, and historical project costs.
  • Track bid results and analyze win/loss data to improve future estimates.
  • Ensure estimates comply with local, state, and NEC electrical codes and standards.
  • Assist with change orders and budget updates throughout project lifecycles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, contractors, and suppliers.
