What you’ll get to do:
As a Manufacturing Technician you will work on the next generation honeycomb core structures and sub-assemblies.
This job involves the fabrication of honeycomb core using a variety of methods such as coating, bonding, assembly, trimming and final processing. It will require on the job development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to create products that meet our customer expectations in both quality and cost. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based.
This position may be filled as a Level 1 or Level 2 based on the qualifications outlined below.
Note: Position will be filling the following shift & times primarily but is subject to change as business needs arise:
- B shift (14:00 PM -12:30 AM) Monday – Thursday (4/10 shift)
Basic Qualifications for Manufacturing Technician 1:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces.
- Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements as required.
- Your ability to obtain and/or transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. Government Secret Clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
- Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.

- High School Diploma or GED, and 2 years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar).
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- This position requires the ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces.
- Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Honeycomb core processing or general fabrication certifications.
- An active U.S. Government Secret clearance.
- Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment, power hand tools, crane, forklift, and other portable equipment.
- Paint or metal coating experience is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications, flow of product, and operating procedures.
- Includes understanding engineering direction and in process adjustment to product.
