Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2070 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Must be able to read and interpret telemetry. Must be willing to care for both MST/PCU patients. Must be willing to precept nursing students.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Telemetry experience preferred.

Eligibility as Current/Previous Employee: Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year.

Unit Details: The unit cares for surgical patients, including total hip and knee replacements, small bowel resections, hysterectomies, and exploratory laparotomies. Medical diagnoses include MRSA, C. difficile infections, suicide attempts, drug or alcohol withdrawal, COPD, pneumonia, and COVID; telemetry patients include chest pain cases. Stable CPAP or BiPAP patients are cared for on the unit. When no nursing assistant is available, the RN takes 3 patients and provides primary care.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend, including Friday and Saturday nights. Holiday rotation is used to distribute holidays fairly. If low census, staff rotates standby turns; travelers may or may not be in rotation depending on contract.

Floating Requirements: The clinician is first to float; floating includes the Multi Care Unit and Pediatric unit to care for adult MST patients, and the West Campus MedSurg Tele unit.
