Work Environment

This position is based within a bustling hospital environment where teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration are vital. You will work from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with occasional flexibility required to adapt to patient needs and operational demands. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on enhancing patients' mobility, strength, and functional capabilities.
  • Guide patients through a variety of therapeutic exercises, stretches, and activities designed to promote physical well-being and alleviate pain.
  • Educate patients on proper body mechanics and provide instruction on home exercise programs to facilitate continuity of care beyond the clinic.
  • Utilize modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold therapy under the direction of the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking key metrics such as range of motion, muscle strength, and functional improvements.
  • Prepare treatment areas, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are organized and readily available for smooth therapy sessions.
  • Work in tandem with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to create a cohesive approach to patient care.
  • Provide emotional support to patients during their rehabilitation journey, fostering a positive and encouraging environment to aid recovery.
  • Maintain adherence to professional standards and ethical practices, ensuring patient confidentiality is upheld.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current and valid state license or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of physical therapy interventions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in enhancing patient rehabilitation through therapeutic exercises under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 50,000 to 65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
