Compensation: $20/HR

What You’ll Do:

  • Motivate,counseland monitor the performance of all department staff; performance evaluations, PIPs, disciplinary actions, professional development / promotions, pay evaluations and terminations. Monitor work schedules and time off requests.
  • Coordinate with the Recruiting Department to interview and hire department staff
  • Ensure that any employee relations issues or concerns are addressed and escalated to HR when necessary
  • Train and manage staff in company policies and ensure adherence to all company policies
  • Lead by example and be an advocate for staff
  • Perform daily,weeklyand monthly tracking of technician productivity
  • ADP knowledge and ability to process invoices
  • Oversee and monitor technician dispatching to assure the correct operation of the computer system
  • Ensure work RO’s getdesignatedto the appropriate technician based on the technician’s capabilities (i.e. Lube Tech completes Lube work, Journeyman completes more complex diagnostic/repair work)
  • Ability to provide answers to the stores’ technical questionsregardingvehicle needs
  • Remain current on new models and product improvements including warranty coverage, extensions, etc.
  • Manage and work the Service Advisor desk as needed
  • Ensure Walser service processes and practices are up to date and followed by employees
  • Perform quality control checks on completed mechanical work
  • Ensure that the service drive area iskept clean at all times
  • Monitorand assist in the implementation of company initiatives, legal compliance, and cascading company communications
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures and protect company assets
  • Mustwear safety eyewear at all timeswhen in Recon warehouse service departments
  • Must wear hard-toed shoes and slip resistant footwear in when in Recon warehouse service departments
  • All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • Five plus yearspreviousexperience in working in a service department with service writing
  • Post-secondary education preferred or equivalent work and education experience
  • Proven ability to mentor and lead others
  • Prior supervisory or management experience a plus
  • ADP experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to be on feet for extended periods of time and tolift upto 50 pounds
