Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse- $2150 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required within the last 18 months.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at this facility cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: At least 24 months of Med Surg/Medical Surgical or Tele/Telemetry experience required. At least 24 months of current medical-surgical experience required.

Special Requests: Former UPH employees, whether FTEs or PRN clinicians in the UPH float pool, cannot work a travel assignment in another market regardless of which facility they currently work at or have worked at within the past 12 months. This policy does not apply if their prior UPH role was travel rather than FTE or PRN.

Unit Details: Patient population is general medical-surgical. Common drips include heparin.

Shift & Scheduling: Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed. Weekends are usually every other weekend, with flexibility depending on department needs. No call.

Floating Requirements: Required to float across all campuses to like units: Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission
