University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center is home to the Dresher Family Birthplace and sees approximately 1,400 annual deliveries. It's part of the UM Medical System, and sister hospital to OBHG partner Charles Regional Medical Center.
The facility offers 14 private labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum rooms - including one with a labor tub - along with a Level II NICU. It is also a designated Baby-Friendly® hospital. Expectant mothers are encouraged to personalize their birth plans with support from physicians and certified nurse-midwives, and an array of classes are available to prepare the entire family for their new arrival.
Bel Air, Maryland, founded in 1780, is considered one of the best places to live in the Old Line state. It's the Harford County seat and is located slightly inland of Chesapeake Bay - just 45 minutes from Baltimore proper.
Baltimore is the most populous city in Maryland. With hundreds of distinct districts that have their own unique and storied histories, it's known as a "city of neighborhoods." Full of public statues and monuments, nearly one third of Baltimore's buildings (over 65,000) are designated as historic - more than any other U.S. city.
Famous for its seafood, performing arts, beautiful parks and sailing opportunities, the city also appeals to baseball fans as the birthplace of Babe Ruth and home of the Baltimore Orioles.
Ob Hospitalist Group began in 2006 and leads the industry in developing and managing in-house OB/GYN hospitalist programs. OBHG was founded to make care safer for moms and babies and help OB/GYNs achieve balance in their own lives.
Ask about our traveling hospitalist positions: Regional and Market Diplomats. These prestigious Diplomat programs offer exceptional OB/GYN physicians an opportunity to practice medicine in a variety of facilities and settings.
