With three locations, Richmond, Glen Allen, and Mechanicsville, our physical therapists have advanced degrees in specialty orthopedic care from head to toe. We are hiring a Full-Time Physical Therapy Technician at our outpatient network of clinics. You will assist in planning and ongoing assessment and provide treatment according to the treatment plan of patients the Physical Therapist has evaluated. Assist physical therapists with patient care.
- Helps treat patients by applying heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion, and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.
- Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering them to the treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning the patient on the equipment.
- Keeps a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
- Maintains physical therapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine the inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
- Watch the patient’s development during therapy sessions and note how the patient responds.
- College degree or equivalent preferred
