Maintenance Tech Level III

<div> </div> <p>Volt is immediately hiring for <b>Maintenance Tech Level III </b>in <b>Irvine, CA </b></p> <p>As a<b> Maintenance Tech Level III </b>you will:</p> <ul> <li>Diagnose and repair NC/CNC machine issues, including turret/spindle alignment and ball screw replacement</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair:</li> <li>Hydraulics and pneumatics</li> <li>Lubrication systems</li> <li>Pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, and hoses</li> <li>Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and full equipment overhauls</li> <li>Maintain furnaces, presses, cranes, forging equipment, and blast systems</li> <li>Repair refractory linings and assist with specialized furnace components</li> <li>Inspect, repair, and maintain electrical systems on all plant equipment, including:</li> <li>CNC machines, welders, cranes, furnaces, conveyors, substations, and generators</li> <li>Troubleshoot and repair:</li> <li>Motors, transformers, relays, contactors, PLCs, and drives</li> <li>Rewire and modify circuits (24V–480V, single & three-phase)</li> <li>Use testing equipment to diagnose voltage, load, grounding, and faults</li> <li>Install and commission new machinery and equipment (mechanical and electrical)</li> <li>Perform electrical work for:</li> <li>New buildings, facility upgrades, and system expansions</li> <li>Install conduit (EMT and rigid), wiring, and mechanical components</li> <li>Read and interpret:</li> <li>Mechanical drawings</li> <li>Electrical schematics</li> <li>Technical manuals and work orders</li> <li>Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and safety compliance</li> <li>Diagnose issues using sound, vibration, and performance data</li> <li>Test equipment post-repair to ensure proper operation</li> <li>Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent failures</li> <li>Maintain logs and documentation of equipment status and repairs</li> <li>Communicate with production teams to resolve issues</li> <li>Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians</li> <li>Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives</li> <li>Perform general facility repairs including:</li> <li>Plumbing</li> <li>Carpentry</li> <li>Structural and utility systems</li> <li>Support contractors during installations and major repairs</li> </ul> <p>This is a full-time Contract to Hire opportunity.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will have:</p> <p><b>Required Skills & Qualifications</b></p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of:</li> <li>Mechanical systems (alignment, hydraulics, pneumatics)</li> <li>Electrical systems (24V–480V, single/three-phase)</li> <li>PLCs, relays, drives, and motor controls preferred</li> <li>Ability to read and interpret:</li> <li>Schematics (electrical & mechanical)</li> <li>Technical manuals and drawings</li> <li>Experience using:</li> <li>Electrical test equipment (voltmeters, amp meters, etc.)</li> <li>Precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers)</li> <li>Welding, cutting, and fabrication tools</li> <li>Alignment and diagnostic tools</li> <li>Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues independently</li> <li>Apply math concepts including algebra, geometry, and measurements</li> <li>Work effectively with limited standardization</li> </ul> <p><b>Experience & Education</b></p> <ul> <li>6–10+ years of industrial maintenance experience</li> <li>Associate degree or technical training preferred</li> <li>Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience accepted</li> </ul> <p><b>Schedule: 1st shift- shift can start as early as 5am to 6am and 8hrs a day (must be flex on weekend work if Maintenance is needed on machinery)</b></p> <p><b>Pay Rate Range: $38 to $40 per hour</b></p> <p>*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.</p> <p>Qualified candidates should <b>APPLY NOW </b>for immediate consideration!
