Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of travel experience is required.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must be comfortable attending high-risk deliveries and supporting Level 3 NICU/PICU. - High-risk delivery experience is required, including neonatal intubation if necessary. - Required skills/experience include airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, Code Blue and rapid response experience, and inhaled medication administration including nitric oxide. - First-time travelers are not accepted; candidates must have completed at least one 13-week assignment.

Required Credentials: - A valid driver’s license is required for floating to four campuses during the contract.

Special Requests: - Holiday assignments are as assigned unless RTO is included in the contract. - RTO must go through the manager for approval.

Unit Details: - Common diagnoses and patient types include COPD, CHF, flu, pneumonia, COVID, ARDS, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, s/p CABG, s/p liver/kidney transplant, oral and maxillofacial surgery, radical head/neck surgeries requiring tracheostomy, minor trauma from MVA, GBS, RSV, cystic fibrosis, and high-risk delivery neonates. - Equipment used includes Servo U, Servo I, Trilogy, V60, EV300, Vapotherm HVT, Vapotherm Precision Flow, Airvo 2, Percussion Air IPV, ResMed Lumis TX for COPD, a NICU oscillator, and Neopuff for deliveries. - Transport may be by ground or air.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36 or 48 per week. - Management is open to 7 on/7 off, 3/2, or 5/2 rotating weeks. - Shift times: 7a-7p or 7p-7a. - Weekend rotation is every other weekend. - Overtime might be available based on facility approval. - Call is two shifts per month with a 2-hour minimum, and call shifts could include adults. - Less experienced RTs will be required to take call; they will cover the unit while the more experienced therapist accompanies the transport. - Additional call is available on a voluntary basis.

Floating Requirements: - Flexibility to float throughout all four campuses during the contract is required. Float locations include Willis Knighton Medical Center (ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele); Willis Knighton Bossier (ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and L&D high-risk deliveries); Willis Knighton Pierremont (ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and L&D high-risk deliveries); and Willis Knighton South (NICU/PICU/Peds, including Level 3 NICU and PICU, adults, ED, ICU, Stepdown, Med/Tele, and L&D high-risk deliveries). - The campuses are 20-25 minutes apart by car.

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months
