Who We Are:
At M Booth, we produce award-winning, culturally-resonant, and buzz-worthy campaigns that move key audiences to action.
We are relentlessly passionate about our clients and their business, whether that means developing scrappy campaigns and content that breaks through, maximizing earned to reach key audiences, leading in digital innovation, or unleashing insights that unlock ideas that win in the marketplace. And we have a bold belief that our work can and should contribute to an equitable world.
Our agency was born 40 years ago with entrepreneurial roots, a people-first culture, and a passion for creativity and innovation. As we look to the future we believe Only the Bold will make a lasting impact and change. From culture to creative, in today’s world BOLD moves everything we do.
Role Overview
M Booth is looking for a social-native Mid-Level Art Director with a strong, sophisticated eye for design and proven experience crafting high-impact visual campaigns across multiple social platforms. In this role, you will be the creative engine driving the visual strategy for our clients.
While a focus will be supporting TikTok, you will also lead and elevate design execution across our established social channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube Shorts. Working with a team of art directors and designers, you will help translate content—into highly engaging, accessible, and shareable visual stories.
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-Platform Design Excellence: Concept and execute stunning, platform-native visual assets tailored to the unique behaviors of each channel—from high-polish LinkedIn carousels and stop-and-scroll graphics on Facebook and X to raw, unpolished, video-led stories on TikTok and YouTube Shorts.
- A Sophisticated Eye for Design: Elevate the brand's aesthetic with a strong command of modern layout, social typography, visual hierarchy, color theory, and motion graphics. In addition to having a strong design sense, you have a general knowledge of different types of creative mediums (illustration, animation, photo editing, copywriting, branding, video).
- Platform-Native Brand Translation: Intentionally adapt and stretch traditional brand guidelines to fit social-first formats. You will help implement client’s brand guidelines, developing custom assets (social stickers, native-style text overlays, custom templates) that maximize organic feed resonance.
- Social Video Storytelling: Storyboard, design, and direct short-form vertical video templates (e.g., "Tiny Mic" tips and How-To tutorials) that capture an authentic, peer-to-peer feel.
- Brand expert: Ensure all visual assets reflect the client’s brand guidelines. Maintain strict adherence to global accessibility guidelines, ensuring 100% compliance with high-contrast elements, clear typography, and burned-in captions.
- Agile Collaboration: Join daily syncs to execute rapid-turn graphic elements, trend-responsive social assets, and real-time community engagement visual hooks.
- Conceptual Ideation & Brainstorming: Bring a highly conceptual, proactive voice to the creative team. Actively participate in brainstorms and translate emerging social trends and cultural insights into immediate visual concepts and campaign ideas.
- Trend-Obsessed & Proactive Mindset: A proactive self-starter who has their finger on the pulse of social media culture and internet trends. You understand what makes audiences stop scrolling in real-time and are excited to pitch unexpected creative directions.
- Mentor and guide team members in achieving their professional goals
- Work closely with project managers on improving processes, planning scopes, timelines, and resourcing
- Help build comradery on your team while fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and creative environment
- Guide other teams on creative processes and best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills that enable you to convey ideas or provide critiques clearly and concisely.
Qualifications & Core Requirements
- Multi-Channel Social Portfolio: 4+ years of creative agency or in-house brand experience with a strong portfolio showcasing successful design work across Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Mastery of Design & Motion Tools: Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, After Effects), Figma and platform-native best practices.
- Social DNA: A deep understanding of social media behaviors, formats, and algorithms. You know the exact visual styles that drive engagements (saves, shares, clicks) on each distinct platform.
- Collaborative Spirit: Thrives in a highly integrated team environment , partnering with designers, animators, video producers, writers, community managers, and external partners to ensure creative assets are optimized for social.
