Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1670 per week.

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Meditech is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Willis-Knighton Health System.

Additional Details:

OR RNs only: Application must include either an OR - Circulating or an OR - Scrub skills checklist, in addition to the OR - RN checklist.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers must have 2 years of permanent staff RN experience. Wound management, JP drains, wound vacs, hemodialysis catheter care, fistulas, PCA, and pain management.

Required Credentials: Must pass an EKG competency exam prior to arrival.

Special Requests: Travelers must be separated for 1 year if previously permanent staff. Up to 7 days of RTO; must extend 1 week for every full week requested off. May request only 1 weekend of RTO per 13-week contract.

Unit Details: Brand new Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit. Patient population includes sepsis, cellulitis, DVT/PE, CHF, COPD, COVID, and PNA. Post-op overflow may include total joints (knees, hips, shoulders) and GI/abdominal surgeries (hemicolectomies, bowel resections, etc.). Uses Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing. RN ratio: 1:5-6, nights 1:6.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Will work 4 days one week and 3 days the next week; this is mandatory. No call. Will work 2 of 3 holidays.

Floating Requirements: Float to any Med/Surg area within the hospital; travelers float first.

7 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months
