About the Clinicians Workday
Clinicians will provide inpatient and outpatient ophthalmology coverage on 24-hour shifts, evaluating all hospital and ED consults including the surgical treatment of trauma, with anticipated volumes of 5-8 patients per day and an average of 5-6 patients per clinician. Required procedures include repair of ruptured globe, repair of eyelid lacerations, and removal of corneal foreign bodies. Clinicians must remain within 20 minutes of the medical center while on call; no ICU or critical care duties are required, and code response is not expected for this assignment. EPIC EMR training is preferred for this locum tenens position.
