Full job description
Position Overview
Join the Green Bay Packaging - Wisconsin Packaging Division team and play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing and warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods throughout the facility. Your efforts will help ensure production runs smoothly and customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. This position is essential to maintaining a safe, organized, and productive work environment while supporting our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.
What will you do:
- Review production schedules, shipping orders, and work instructions to efficiently transport materials and equipment throughout the facility.
- Supply raw materials and work-in-process (WIP) inventory to production equipment according to established production schedules.
- Safely load and unload materials, products, and equipment from trucks, trailers, and other transport vehicles.
- Move, stage, and organize palletized or slip-sheeted products within warehouse and storage areas.
- Accurately store materials in designated locations while following inventory management and stock rotation procedures.
- Inspect loads to ensure proper placement, stability, and safe transport.
- Stack, organize, and maintain empty pallets in designated storage areas.
- Conduct daily pre-shift forklift inspections and equipment checks in compliance with OSHA standards and company safety requirements.
- Inspect materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Transfer and load materials into machine hoppers and production equipment as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while adhering to all company policies and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to support operational goals and customer commitments.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience & Skills
- Forklift certification in accordance with OSHA standards required, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Basic math, reading, and communication skills.
- Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills and experience using warehouse management systems are preferred.
- Experience using RF scanners and inventory tracking systems is a plus.
- Ability to complete tasks accurately, efficiently, and safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and productive workplace.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record may be required.

- Starting pay: $21.50 to $26.00 per hour, based on shift, experience, and qualifications
