Job Description Summary:

Aviagen is a primary poultry breeding company located in several states in the US.
We are seeking an outstanding individual to become a part of the newly developed GP G.A.P. Team. The Grower-Aviagen Partnership (G.A.P.) Team has been created to facilitate the efficient and timely turn around for both rearing and lay facilities during the downtime between flocks. The G.A.P. Team will be responsible and accountable for coordinating and verifying all activities that are necessary to take place from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings process.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • BS in related field or equivalent work experience
  • Two years of poultry experience preferred.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours including some weekends
  • Must be self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Team oriented
  • Current driver’s license


The following duties will vary according to the needs of the department. Normal duties will include:

  • Coordinating and verifying all activities that are necessary to take place from the beginning of the move/depletion process through the disinfect/shavings process
  • Fostering and strengthening contract grower relations
  • Fostering and strengthening relationships with other departments through daily communications and interactions
  • Clearly communicating all deadlines to the necessary people involved
  • Ensuring timelines are appropriate and deadlines are met
  • Performing daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Daily local travel within the regional production base
  • Bio-security and health & safety are major responsibilities
  • May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the supervisor
