Hexcel is currently seeking a Facilities Engineer for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. The successful candidate will manage facility projects, provide engineering support, oversee contractors, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that support plant operations and reliability.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Manage capital and expense projects from concept through commissioning, including new installations and upgrades to existing systems.
- Provide engineering support for facility and utility systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, compressed air, fire protection, and environmental control systems.
- Troubleshoot facility and utility system issues using engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Ensure the reliable operation and maintenance of site infrastructure including electrical distribution, HVAC systems, fire suppression systems, roofs, roads, parking lots, and compressed air systems.
- Provide technical support and engineering expertise to maintenance and manufacturing operations.
- Manage facility service contractors and vendors, including HVAC, fire protection, pest control, roofing, electrical, plumbing, waste management, and landscaping contractors.
- Coordinate with utility providers for electrical, gas, water, wastewater, and telecommunications services.
- Develop scopes of work, obtain bids, oversee contractor safety and performance, and manage service contracts.
- Support reliability improvement initiatives, root cause analysis efforts, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Maintain facility engineering documents, drawings, and records in accordance with company standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Facilities Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of facilities engineering, utilities engineering, maintenance engineering, or project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing facility infrastructure projects and external contractors.
- Knowledge of industrial utility systems and facility equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
- Strong project management, communication, troubleshooting, and organizational skills.
- The following are preferred qualifications: Experience with CMMS systems (Limble, Maximo, Fiix, or equivalent), experience with reliability engineering and root cause analysis, familiarity with AutoCAD and engineering drawing management, experience with Lean, Six Sigma, EIT. PMP certification a plus.
